Hi all.
Okay. So I live in Southern California. In the desert. And the ground is covered in 11 inches of snow! That's a lot for us. I had two finals yesterday, and I couldn't leave. And I'm not going to be able to get out tomorrow because it's going to snow again. I was supposed to make up my finals tomorrow. I hope I can get out.
Later guys,

Prop 4
Hi, quick note.
I have a something I would like to point out.

I have a something I would like to point out.
Ok, in the state of California a minor can have an abortion without parental consent. But a minor in California cannot legally:
- Have any medical procedure (besides abortions and other things like that) done without parental consent
- Talk with a headset while driving
- Drink
- Smoke
- Have sex with anyone over the age of 18
Why can teenagers choose to have abortions, use birth control, and hide it from their parents? There are health risks involved, and if the parents don't know and the teenager is unconcious or unable to communicate, there is a chance they could become extremely ill or die. Who wants teenagers to risk their own lives? Any medical procedure or medication can potentially lethal.
Just think about what I said.

Election
Hi everyone,
So Obama won. I'm not thrilled. BUT I will not bad-mouth him the way almost everyone did to Bush. That is NOT something you do. It's wrong and spiteful. I just hope California Props 4 and 8 are voted yes. I don't expect anything on four, but I think eight will go through. So, just so you know, no matter what, even though I don't agree with Obama entirely, don't do to him what you did to Bush. Just lay off.
Thanks everybody.

I Made Up My Mind
So, I've decided what field of medicine to go into. Emergency Medicine. I was leaning towards Oncology or Diagnostic Medicine. I am so glad that I condidered the alternatives. I never really thought about it until I decided to become a doctor. I suppose it was House, M.D. and Emergency that really helped me make that transition. The human body and medicine are just AMAZING. Some good books to read on the subject of Emergency Medicine are the following:
Ambulance Girl
Trauma Junkie
Into the Breach.
Also, visit the following blog. Peter Canning gives you lists of books to read and tells his own story as a paramedic. http://medicscribe.blogspot.com/2006/05/ems-bookstore.html
Think about it, you may be the one to discover the cure to some strange disease.

Total change of my mind
I can't believe this. For more than a year, I wanted to be a librarian. Now, however, I want to be an oncologist. Please pray for me so that I can make up my mind. College is coming fast. Please give me some input.
Thanks,
jjsqueezie
(Maybe a dermatologist, but I'm leading towards oncology.)

Abortion
Okay, in my years, I have learned a lot. But one of the most important is this: Abortion is wrong for any reason at all. Every person I or anyone else I know who knows someone who has had an abortion regretted it for the rest of their lives. My aunt has a bumper sticker that makes complete sense. It is this: "One wounded, one dead. Abortion kills." Anyone who thinks that a fetus does not have a soul is sadly mistaken. If anything, put your child up for adoption. A person who goes through with a pregnancy will know she did the right thing. Then a child can grow up hopefully happy. Who knows, you might have the future President within you who could change the world and possibly bring peace. Nothing could be sweeter than a small child saying, "I love you."
Think about it.
